Telangana State IT Minister Sridhar Babu said the government was developing Greater Warangal to bring it on a par with Hyderabad. As part of the initiative, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will inaugurate the KU Hub, a knowledge and innovation hub.

The minister visited Sri Bhadrakali Temple on Saturday and offered prayers during the Devi Sharannavaratri celebrations. He said the government was taking proactive measures across Telangana in preparation for the possible effects of the El Niño phenomenon.

Godavari water is being pumped from Dharmasagar Lake into Bhadrakali Lake to help replenish groundwater in Warangal and Hanamkonda, Sridhar Babu said. He also announced plans to establish IT towers in Warangal to create employment opportunities.

The state government has allocated Rs 40 crore to build *mada veedhulu*—procession streets—around the Bhadrakali Temple. The minister also praised the construction of a new temple chariot with support from donors.
