Health camp for sanitation workers held

Shadnagar: Shadnagar Municipal Chairman Agganur Basaveshwar emphasised the need to pay special attention to the health and welfare of sanitation workers, who tirelessly work to protect public health.

On the occasion of the 5th AB Day, a special health camp was organised for sanitation workers at the Shadnagar Municipal Office on Wednesday.

As part of ‘Safaimitra Suraksha Sanman’, Chairman Basaveshwar honored the sanitation workers.

Speaking at the event, he praised the commendable services of sanitation workers, who play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness for the well-being of the public. He stressed that it is everyone’s responsibility to take necessary measures for the protection of workers’ health.

During the medical camp, several health check-ups were conducted for the workers, and free medicines were distributed. Medical staff also created awareness about preventive healthcare and safety measures to be followed while performing duties.

Municipal councillors Koppunuri Praveen and Dilip, Deputy DM&HO Vijayalakshmi, Health Educator Srinivas, municipal officials, and medical staff participated in the programme.
