KPHB: Devotees made a beeline to Kamakshi Sameta Ekambareswara Swamy temple in KPHB Colony road no 2 on the holy day of Shivarathri and offered special puja to the deity right from 3 am on Friday. The shrine was decorated under the leadership of temple chairman Ramana.
Devotees performed 'samuhika palabhishekam' to Lord Siva from the early hours till the afternoon, 'samuhika rudrabhishekam' from 3 to 5 pm and 'ekadasa rudrabhishekam' in the evening hours. The temple priest said puja would be performed in the early hours of Saturday when the devotees break their fast observed in connection with the festival.
