Hyderabad: The police on Thursday registered a case for attempted ATM robbery here at Venkatagiri of Jubilee Hills. The offenders tried to break the machine of HDFC bank, however, they escaped from the place after alarm rang.
Meanwhile, locals informed the police after the alarm who rushed to the ATM centre. The police verified the CCTV footage at the ATM centre. The police registered a case and launched an investigation. It is yet to be learned if the cash was stolen from the ATM.
In December, around three attempted ATM robberies were registered by the police with a gap of one week. In the first case, the assailants tried to break the ATM of Union Bank on December 11 at Abdullahpurmet. They fled the spot after the alarm. In another case, the offenders stole the cash by breaking the Indicash ATM with a gas cutter.
