Nizamabad: R&B and Housing Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy asked the farmers not to worry as the TRS government will help those, whose paddy crops were damaged due to untimely rains in the district.

He inspected paddy crops of a farmer, Komati Reddy Shekhar Ready, in Nallur village suburbs in Mukkal mandal on Thursday. He said crops in about 22,000 acres in the district were damaged and assured the farmers that minimum support price will be paid to them if their produce has quality as per the rules.

Later, the Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for several development works in Nallur village on the day. He inaugurated Padmashali Bhavan at a cost of Rs 5 lakhs; library constructed with an expenditure of Rs 5 lakhs; and paddy purchasing centre.

Minister Reddy laid laid foundation stone for SC Community Hall to be constructed with Rs 8 lakhs; and for the construction of a cemetery with Rs 10 lakhs. Later, he unveiled statues of Jyotirao Phule and Telangana Thalli.

District Collector M Rammohan Rao accompanied the Minister during his programme.
