Hyderabad: Progressive Recognised Teachers' Union TS (PRTU TS) welcomed the decision of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao and State Education Minister, Sabita Indra Reddy for taking an apt decision to promote SSC (Class X) students without examinations.

In a statement here on Monday, the PRTU TS president Pingili Sripal Reddy and Berelli Kamalakar Rao asked the State government to announce the SSC results at the earliest and commence the admissions into the intermediate course. This, they said would help in students not losing their academic year. The teachers' association leaders said that the State government's decision has given the much-needed relief to the parents worried about their wards and the students, they added.

Similarly, the Telangana Progressive Teachers Federation, Hyderabad District president and secretary, Muthyala Ravinder and B Rambabu welcome the decision of the Chief Minister. They asked to ensure the marks lists of students contain proper remarks so that they will not face any problems in the future.

The Telangana State United Teachers Federation (TSUTF), State Committee president and secretary K Jangaiah and Chava Ravi welcomed the decision of the State government to promote the SSC students without conducting examinations, during the current crisis. Apart from the teachers' organizations the Telangana Balala Hakkula Sangam and other parent organisations have also welcomed the decision of the State government.
