One injured in drunken brawl

Kanchanbagh: One was severely injured in a drunken brawl between two friends at Baba Nagar under Kanchanbagh police station limits on Thursday.

According to the police, two friends named Mohammed Ilyas (24) and Mohammed Saif (26) living in a rented house in Baba Nagar area in Kanchanbagh. On Thursday morning at around 9 am, both had a brawl after consuming alcohol.

In such state the duo had a heated argument which led to Saif attacking Ilyas with a kitchen knife and made injuries on former's hands. The victim defended himself and came to police station in an auto and lodged a complaint. On receipt of the complaint police registered a case under Arms Act and efforts were been made to nab the accused.
