Yadadri: Devotees waiting to get the darshan of Swayambhu Sri Laxmi Narasimha Swamy at main temple of Yadadri this Dasara have to wait for another three months due to technical difficulties.

In a special interview with The Hans India, temple Executive Officer Geetha Reddy informed that when the plans of Yadadri temple development were designed, officials concerned said one year was enough to complete the works.

But in practical, it took more than three months of time just to understand the topography of the hillock. Stating that sculpture works with regard to temple, arches, Rajagopuram and other allied works were going at a brisk pace at various places in two Telugu-speaking states, the EO informed that construction of civil works has been taking more time than the estimated.

So far, about 50 per cent of developmental works completed on the hillock and only four months left for the completion of remaining works. In view of this, considering all possible delays, officials concerned took another three months from the State government to complete the task.

Informing about the Yadadri Kshetra Palaka, she said a 125-feet statue of Lord Hanuman would be installed. “Consultations are underway with the makers of huge statues and an agency would be picked up to take up the work after scrutinising the quotations and their track record,” she informed.

Speaking about the Donor policy, Geetha informed that temple authorities have been studying the Donor policy of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and norms would be finalised in the board meeting.

She further assured issuance of new identification cards and continuation of existing privileges to all donors of dismantled buildings on the hillock.
