Yadadri: Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya advised the State government to take the help of centre for developing Yadadri shrine, and he was ready to extend his cooperation in this regard.

The Minister visited the hill shrine on Friday and performed special pujas to the presiding deities at Bala Alayam. Later, Dattatreya inspected the works going on at the hill shrine.

Addressing media, the Minister expressed his pleasure over the State government’s attention towards developing Yadadri on the lines of Tirumala. He informed that he had held discussions with the Minister for Tourism, Ramesh Sharma, and sought his help to develop Bhongir Fort, Jain temple and Pochampalli as tourism circuit.

Further, Dattatreya informed that he would request the Railway Minister for the change of name of Rayagiri railway station to Yadadri, and to run proposed MMTS trains from Hyderabad to Rayagiri station to improve connectivity for the convenience of devotees.

As part of his district tour, Dattatreya also participated in a party meeting at Bhongir and suggested them to propagate Central schemes in the district to strengthen the party.

The Minister later visited Aler and participated in a private programme held at mandal headquarter. Speaking to media, he reiterated that demonetisation was a bold step taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and informed that as a Minister, he was adopting historical Kolanpaka and would put out all his efforts to develop the village in all aspects.
