In the meantime, another 12 Disha Police Stations are opened in the state on the occasion of Women's Day.

In the meeting, he said, that the aim of the CM YS Jagan was to set up women-friendly police stations. He called on women staff to play a key role in protecting women and children. "The police stations should be provided with a place where women can come in fearlessly, " DGP Gautam Sawang advised staff. He opined he was happy to be part of the cause initiated by the Chief Minister for the protection of women.

Speaking about local body elections, he said that the police are taking all measures for a calm of smooth elections. "Law and order is in control" DGP added.

Deepika Patil, Special Officer for Disha Act, said that 18 police stations have been made fully available in the state from today. She said that the Disha SOS App is getting a good response from the public with 122 calls and 37 FIRs being registered. She said that on the occasion of International Women's Day, we are giving the slogan 'Each for Equal'.
