Anakapalli: Anakapalli Superintendent of police K V Murali Krishna said 235 lost mobile phones worth Rs 43 lakh have been recovered in Anakapalli district within a short period. Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, he said that the technical department staff is continuously tracing the missing mobile phones as soon as they receive complaints through the WhatsApp number 9505200100 launched last year exclusively for the purpose.

The lost mobile phones were recovered from East and West Godavari, Krishna, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam and Kadapa districts, the SP informed.

Later, he handed over recovered mobile phones to the respective owners.

Meanwhile, Murali Krishna congratulated IT Core staff during the programme. Additional SPs B Vijaya Bhaskar and P Satyanarayana, inspectors Chandra Shekhar, Appala Naidu, IT Core SI Raghu Varma and department team were present.
