Anantapur: SP Bhusarapu Sathya Yesu Babu warned against false posts on coronavirus in the social media. In a press statement on Saturday, the SP said that certain false posts in the WhatsApp, Facebook and twitter scaring people on coronavirus came to his notice.

He referred to a post in the social media stating that an SKU student was affected by a coronavirus and the same was shared and forwarded by scores of students. It was a false report. The source of the posting was identified and a case was registered against him.

Cases were also filed against those who share false reports. Yesu Babu said that the hospitals have been kept in a state of high alert to meet with any emergencies. As on today not a single case of coronavirus is registered in the district, he said.
