The Andhra Pradesh government has stepped forward to support the families of those who died in an accident at Sri City in Tirupati district. Five people lost their lives following a water boiler explosion at a private industrial unit in Sri City. The government announced compensation of ₹50 lakh for each of the victims' families.
The incident occurred today (Saturday) at a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Sri City. While five workers died in the accident, several others sustained injuries; officials have shifted the injured to the hospital. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan expressed their grief over the incident and directed that the injured receive quality medical care.
