Andhra Pradesh State Judo Association General Secretary Venkat Namishetti denied the allegations of irregularities in the DSC sports quota recruitment process. He confirmed that no wrongdoing occurred and accused the YSRCP of attempting to tarnish the reputation of the coalition government.

Namishetti explained that individuals involved in past irregularities within the Judo Association had been expelled previously. He expressed anger that those accused of corruption had banded together to target AP Minister Nara Lokesh. He also criticised Sakshi for broadcasting stories against him and his son after he refuted the YCP's claims.

He questioned why Visakhapatnam MP Bharat’s name was linked to the controversy, asserting he had no connection. Namishetti named several individuals, including Anam Kishore Reddy, K.N. Babu, C. Kiran Kumar, R.K. Purushotham, and Kailash Yadav—the latter a former Telangana Judo Association President arrested in an ACB case—as criminals involved in spreading falsehoods. He highlighted ongoing court cases and complaints related to fake certificates against them.

Namishetti clarified that neither he nor MP Bharat held positions in the association during the DSC recruitment.
