AP Municipal elections results: Alliance secures unprecedented victory

The alliance demonstrated its strength in the urban local body elections held in Andhra Pradesh, securing a resounding victory across 12 municipal corporations and 83 municipalities. In Kadapa—the home district of YSRCP chief and former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan—the alliance achieved a clean sweep, with the TDP flag flying high in the Pulivendula municipality. In the Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, the alliance’s mayoral candidate, Sravani, won with a massive majority of 2.58 lakh votes.

Furthermore, the Jana Sena Party achieved a 100% strike rate in these local body elections, with its candidates emerging victorious in every seat they contested. In these local elections, the YSRCP managed to win only one municipal corporation and three municipalities.
