The temperatures in two Telugu states are dropping sharply due to the influence of eastern and northeast winds. In both the states, the situation is worse especially in Visakhapatnam. The minimum temperatures are recorded at night, worse than 2 and 3 degree celsius. With this there was severely cold. According to the Visakhapatnam Meteorological Department, a minimum temperature of 10 degree celsius was recorded at Chintapalli in Visakhapatnam agency. In Lambsingh, however, the maximum temperature was recorded at 1 to 2 degrees, officials said. Officials said that the situation will remain the same until the end of December.

On the other hand, the situation is almost the same in Telangana. The people of the state capital Hyderabad are facing severe cold. People are trembling to get out of their homes. The situation in the earstwhile districts of Adilabad, Nizamabad and Mahabubnagar, which are have forest has seen a drop in temperature. The latest low of 10.6 degree celsius was recorded in Amarabad of Nagar Kurnool district.

Due to the high intensity of cold, people could not get out of their houses till 9 or 10 in the morning. The minimum temperature was recorded at 10.8 celsius in Rajapur in Mahabubnagar district, 11.2 in Kasulabad in Ranga Reddy district, 11.3 in Konda Reddy Pal and 11.6 in Kohil in Sangareddy district. Temperatures will remain the same across the state for another three days, weather officials said.
