Eluru: Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Alla Nani has called upon farmers to use organic fertilizers to keep diseases at bay. He was interacting with a large number of people who came from across the district to avail YSR Arogya Sri at his camp office here on Thursday.
The health minister said that use of chemical fertilizers was the reason for many chronic ailments linked to kidney, heart and cancer. The chemicals have been poisoning the food and causing many diseases, he opined.
He said the state government has allotted Rs 12,000 crore in the budget for the health of people. The Minister said that medical expenses of the poor exceeding Rs 1,000 will come under the purview of Arogya Sri scheme.
The Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was taking every care to strengthen health sector by spending liberally for Arogya Sri scheme, he informed. He sought cooperation of all in making the people of the state healthy.
