Collector couple exercises franchise
West Godavari district Collector Praveen Kumar and spouse Sobhana Smriti were among others who exercised their franchise in the election for Godavari districts graduates constituency here on Friday.
Eluru: West Godavari district Collector Praveen Kumar and spouse Sobhana Smriti were among others who exercised their franchise in the election for Godavari districts graduates constituency here on Friday.
The couple flashed their ink marked fingers immediately after emerging out of the polling booth at St Xavier's Boys School here.Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said it is the responsibility of every voter to exercise their franchise. As part of this responsibility, they exercised their vote, he said.
The Collector said that every citizen should exercise their vote and elect good leaders. He said that they are expecting huge turnout in the MLC poll. Briefing on the voting trends, the Collector said 10.9 per cent votes polled till 10 am, followed by 25.2 per cent by 12 noon and 43.24 per cent up to 2 pm.
