VIJAYAWADA: Train services on the Vijayawada–Ongole–Gudur section have been temporarily suspended due to gale-force winds recorded at Karavadi Railway Station amid Cyclone Murasu, disrupting rail operations in the region.

The Vijayawada Division of South Coast Railway has regulated 29 trains, including 19 in the up direction and 10 in the down direction. Several other trains have also been cancelled, diverted or rescheduled in view of cyclone-related weather conditions.

Railway authorities are regulating train services at originating and en-route stations until further notice as a precautionary measure to ensure passenger safety.

Passengers have been advised to check the latest train running status through the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) app and follow official railway communication channels for updates. They have also been urged to confirm the status of their trains before starting their journeys to avoid inconvenience.

The railway authorities appealed to passengers to cooperate with the temporary operational changes and expressed regret over the inconvenience caused by the disruption.
