DGP conducts review meet with police officials

Kakinada: AP director general of police R P Thakur conducted review meet with sub-division police officers of East Godavari on Sunday along with SP vishal Gunni. At the review meet organised at district police conference hall, the DGP also conducted video conference with circle inspectors in the district.
The DGP appreciated the police force in the district for conducting the last month polls successfully without any incident though there was shortage of manpower. He also asked the officials in the department to repeat the same performance in counting process also. At the same time the DGP asked them to implement the arrests in cases pending at the time of elections and to keep constant vigil on bind over cases till the completion of poll process.
DGP R P Thakur also asked the police officials to complete the counting process as per the directive of ECI. In this connection the DGP asked the officials to keep constant vigil in rural areas after counting process to avoid clashes.
He directed the officials to beef up security in agency areas under Rampachodvaram, Chintur and other areas. Additional SP S V Sridhar Rao, OSD K Chakavarti, Rampachodavaram ASP Rahall Dev Singh, Trainee ASP Tuhin Sinha and others participated.
