Eluru: As part of Karl Marx 200th birth anniversary, G Narasimha Rao has expressed anguish that governments are baptizing blind beliefs instead of science, which is real and have authenticity. Rich floral tributes were paid to Karl Marx on birth anniversary here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, Narasimha Rao informed the gathering that the committee had been organising various programmes since May 5, 2018. He said Marx had authored many books to bring change in society. He advocated science and opposed blind beliefs. It was sad that India has only 14 scientists while the rest of the world contributed 1,453 scientists, he said.

MLC Ramu Suryarao, speaking on the occasion said just like Indians remember Gandhiji and Ambedkar, the entire world always remind Karl Marx for his great contribution to the humanity. The books penned by Marx will continue to guide and inspire human race.

KPDT High School head master Lakshmipathi presided over the meeting. L Venkateswara Rao, A Nageswara Rao of the festival committee, PDBT College principal Suryanaryana and others also spoke. Essay-writing competition winners were presented prizes on the occasion.
