Jagan Supports CJP Calls For Trust in Electoral Process
In Short
In a post on X, CJP leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were arrested and lodged in the Tihar Jail for allegedly violating their peace bonds and trespassing into Jantar Mantar on Tuesday after it had been denotified as a protest area.

YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy
Is the YSRCP inching towards the INDIA bloc just as the TVK led by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay has done? It appears so as the YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, called for restoration of "trust in the electoral process," in light of the row over the SIR of electoral rolls.
In a post on X, CJP leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were arrested and lodged in the Tihar Jail for allegedly violating their peace bonds and trespassing into Jantar Mantar on Tuesday after it had been denotified as a protest area.
"Trust in the electoral process must be restored. The arrests of Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka do not solve anything; it only aggravates the situation," Reddy said.
Empathising with Das and Ranka, the former CM said, "A proactive approach always yields better results than a reactive stance. The system has a flaw that needs to be corrected."
In the 2024 general elections, YSRCP was trounced by the NDA consisting the TDP, Jana Sena and BJP, relegating it to just 11 assembly seats and four Lok Sabha seats, prompting Reddy to cast "suspicions" on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and demanding a return to ballot boxes.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh BJP president PVN Madhav claimed that "CJP, which raises slogans against corruption and the protection of democracy, joining hands with Jagan, who is facing ED and CBI charges" has clarified the "actual agenda".
Jagan, who had allegedly "encouraged religious conversions and devastated the state's financial system," has "exposed" his true nature by "partnering" with the powers (CJP) aiming to break the country, Madhav added.
