Srikakulam: Kodipetla Bhavani, the girl who went missing 15 years ago in Hyderabad, arrived her native village Cheepurupalli in Meliaputti here on Monday.

According to details, Kodipetla Bhavani is only daughter of Kodipetla Madhava Rao and Varalaxmi couple and they have two sons Santosh and Gopi, who are elder than the girl.

The couple went to Hyderabad 15 years ago seeking employment from their native village Cheepurupalli in Meliaputti mandal along with their children. But Bhavani went missing at MLA quarters in Hyderabad.

After the girl went missing, the couple returned to their native village along with their two sons.

The identity of the missing girl was traced in Vijayawada after 15 years on Saturday through Facebook and immediately her parents and brothers rushed to Vijayawada and convinced her adopted parents Jeeva Ratnam and Jayamma to take the girl to their native village.

Bhavani also agreed to visit her native village and convinced her adopted parents in this regard.

Bhavani arrived her native village on Monday along with her parents and brothers to receive the rousing welcome.

The 19-year-old was excited after visiting her house in the village and interacted with all the villagers. "As a child I did not have any knowledge and now, I am excited and felt happy. I am a lucky girl to have two mothers and I never expected that I will see my native village and even I did not know about my village" Bhavani said.
