Follow rules strictly in adoption of children, Child Welfare Committee (CWC) chairman Gurugubelli Narasimha Murthy directed officials and staff of the departments concerned
Srikakulam: Follow rules strictly in adoption of children, Child Welfare Committee (CWC) chairman Gurugubelli Narasimha Murthy directed officials and staff of the departments concerned.
He attended a one-day training camp on adoption process aimed at creating awareness among officials and staff of Integrated Child Protection Society (ICPS), child protection staff and those employed in Women Development and Child Welfare (WD & CW) wing and Integrated Child Development Society (ICDS) in Srikakulam on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, the CWC chairman directed the staff and officials concerned to conduct awareness camps at village-level with the assistance of women protection staff at village secretariats on adoption process.
In adoption of children, one should strictly follow legal process for protection of children and to protect their legal rights as they would become members of a family legally with the adoption, Narasimha Murthy pointed out.
