Tirupati: Speed up ongoing development works at Padmavathi temple says TTD EO A V Dharma Reddy
TTD Executive Officer A V Dharma Reddy directs officials to construct a stone mandapam replacing the present Yagashala structure and also Ayina Mahal (Hall of Mirrors) inside the temple complex
Tirupati : TTD Executive Officer A V Dharma Reddy on Saturday inspected the ongoing development works at Sri Padmavati Ammavaru temple in Tiruchanur to cope with the steady increase of the footfall of pilgrims to the shrine.
The EO directed officials to construct a stone mandapam replacing the present Yagashala structure and also Ayina Mahal (Hall of Mirrors) inside the temple complex.
Among others, he instructed them to shift the electric control room away from the shrine in consultation with the APSPDCL.
Inspecting Friday Gardens (Sukrvarapu Thota) near the temple, the EO directed the officials to replace the old shed with modern sheds, construct new compound wall to cover the ghee tank, flour mill and set up electric generator in the Gardens.
He also instructed the officers to study the feasibility of building a new pilgrim complex for the devotees waiting for darshan, replacing the old one and wanted a report from the temple officials on the construction of complex soon.
Earlier, he also inspected other development activities in the temple complex including the four Mada streets, flour mill, gas storage, hot water plant and Tolappa Gardens.
It is pertinent to note that daily about 30,000 pilgrims visiting the shrine for darshan and the Tiruchanur temple is the biggest, income wise and number of pilgrims visiting, after Tirumala temple under the TTD but the facilities for the pilgrims is not adequate and particularly there is no facility for the pilgrims to park their vehicles, forcing them to park them on road side including private buses, paying fee to private contractor, causing inconvenience to the public.
TTD Joint Executive Officer Veerabrahmam, FA &CAO Balaji, Chief Engineer Nageswara Rao, Padmavathi temple Deputy EO Govindarajan and TTD technology advisor Ramachandra Reddy were also present.
