Online healthcare service provider looks to reach 1 billion people in India and abroad by 2022

Hyderabad: CallHealth Services Private Limited, a tech-enabled platform providing comprehensive suite of life care solutions and services, plans to virtually reach one billion customers across India in the next two to three years.

Moreover, it sees an addressable population of more than 400 million for its at-home and at-centre services.

In May 2019, the city-based startup launched its service in 36 new markets within Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, an increase from the initial 14 cities.

Besides, CallHealth currently offers 28 services and has over 5,000 partners, which was earlier less than 100 partners and four services.

Speaking with The Hans India, Ratnesh Sharma, Member - Executive Leadership Council, CallHealth, says: "We have two kinds of partners - asset owning partners like pathology labs, hospital, yoga centre etc., and people-owning partners bringing in professionals on the platform like doctors, dieticians etc.

By 2020, we are looking to onboard around 500 people owning partners wherein each partner will bring in about 100 professionals, and 20,000 asset owning partners from across India."

At present, the startup is present in nearly 55 cities across India with pre-dominant presence of 45 locations in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Sharma further said that depending upon the size of the location the bouquet of their services is offered.

"Hyderabad is a key market wherein we provide the complete bouquet of services along with large number of partnerships and customers served on a daily basis."

He claims that from Hyderabad, their monthly active users have gone up by 50 per cent and inactive users have grown by around 10 to 15 per cent.

Also, the inbound calls received at their contact centres from this city has shown a growth of 30 per cent month-on-month and the web traffic has increased by more than 30 per cent.

"Our customers in Hyderabad are well informed and educated about digital healthcare services.

They look for meaningful insights about their health rather than carrying out a digital transaction like that of only a lab test or placing an order for medicine," he adds.

The startup is apparently in its third phase of growth, which is the scaling stage. Under this, it is looking at extensively extending its services to various cities across India.

With this expansion, CallHealth foresees a potential of over a $1 billion revenue in the next two to three years, in the digital healthcare market.

Besides the revenue generated from the partners onboarded, the startup also is in demand by the organisations or governments of other countries which are looking at CallHealth as Platform as a service and software as a service, to take digital healthcare to their population – this being their next big opportunity to generate revenue.
