Drishyam 3: Ajay Devgn Returns As Vijay Salgaonkar For The Final Chapter

Mohanlal and Meena’s Drishyam series has made its way into Tollywood and Bollywood too. Thus, Venkatesh and Ajay Devgn have created their own impact on the remakes with their amazing screen presence. Although the first two parts of this series turned into massive blockbusters, third part didn’t create that heavy impact among the audience. And the movie was also dubbed into Telugu instead of remaking it with Venkatesh. But when it comes to Bollywood, Ajay Devgn and Tabu are all set to end up this crime game with the third part.

As the release date of this thriller is nearing, Bollywood star Ajay Devgn is all set to return as the iconic Vijay Salgaonkar with the third and final instalment of the blockbuster Drishyam franchise. This movie is titled Drishyam: The Conclusion, and is helmed by Abhishek Pathak, who directed the second part.

The makers have once again chosen October 2nd as the release date, which has a strong connection with the Drishyam franchise. The date played a crucial role in Vijay Salgaonkar’s carefully constructed alibi in the earlier films. Thus, releasing the final chapter on the same date is expected to add an interesting promotional angle to the movie.

Going with the Drishyam 3 trailer, it has further increased the curiosity around the film. Ajay Devgn is reprising his role as Vijay Salgaonkar, the simple cable operator and devoted family man who went to extreme lengths to protect his family.

The plots of first two parts are well known and made us witness how Vijay protected his family from Tabu by hiding her son’s dead body in different places. Here, Vijay’s spontaneity and his intelligence are the biggest strengths of his character. However, this time Vijay is facing an even bigger challenge. Paatal Lok fame Jaideep Ahlawat is making his entry into the franchise as SP Crime Branch officer Rajveer Singh Tomar. Unlike the previous officers, Rajveer appears determined to uncover Vijay’s secrets at any cost.

Another important element of this movie is that, Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3 will have its own storyline instead of following the Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3. Apart from Ajay Devgn, the movie also has Tabu as Meera Deshmukh, while Shriya Saran reprises her role as Nandini Salgaonkar. It also has an ensemble cast of Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj.
