Chandoo Mondeti To Make His Bollywood Debut With Akshay Kumar & Rana Daggubati

Tollywood’s young filmmaker Chandoo Mondeti already proved his mettle with Karthikeya 2 and Thandel movies in the recent times. But after delivering a blockbuster with Thandel, Chandoo didn’t announce his next. So, everyone thought that he might be waiting for the right script. But now, according to the sources he has reportedly bagged a major opportunity and is all set to make Hindi directorial debut.

According to the reports, he is all set to direct a mythological drama titled ‘Mahakal’ which will have Bollywood’s ace actor Akshay Kumar and Tollywood’s popular actor Rana Daggubati in the lead roles. Interestingly, the story and the production of this magnum opus will be handled by iconic filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Going into the details, Bhansali is actually impressed with Chandoo’s Karthikeya 2 and expressed his interest to work with him and fortunately, as Bhansali is occupied with Love & War movie, he approached Chandoo to direct this project.

Well, the shooting of this mythological drama will mostly happen in Varanasi and the plot will have a strong mythological backdrop but will not be centered on any deity. Sources also state that Chandoo made many changes to the original script and showed off his creativity. As the official announcement is still awaited, this speculation is already creating a buzz on social media!
