'Ponmagal Vandhal' trailer touches more than 7 lakh views
Roughly a week before the film’s release on the OTT platform Amazon Prime, the trailer of Jyothika-starrer ‘ Ponmagal Vandhal ‘ was released today.
Roughly a week before the film's release on the OTT platform Amazon Prime, the trailer of Jyothika-starrer ' Ponmagal Vandhal ' was released today. According to a release put out by the channel, this film will be the first ever Tamil film to have its worldwide premiere on Prime Video.
The story is of a lawyer who fights the case of a wrongfully convicted woman. Directed by J J Frederick, the film can be watched by viewers across 200 countries and territories from May 29. At the time of writing, the trailer had clocked more than 7 lakh views and counting.
The nearly 2-minute package promises a high-octane thriller and has Jyothika donning the black robe and taking on her adversaries rather well. With many serial killer themes and murder mysteries being churned out by Tamil cinema in the recent year or so, it looks that the Tamil audience is going to be exposed to gruesome crime and action one more time as their month-end entertainment in the comfort of their homes as the lockdown officially comes to a close on May 31, all over India.
