Mahendragiri Varahi starring Sumanth and Aishwarya Rajesh is all set to release globally on September 11. The devotional action thriller is directed by Santosh Jagarlapudi and stars Siddhu Jonnalagadda in a special role. The film is produced by Kalipu Madhu and Laxman on Rajashyamala Entertainments and Bridge Films.
Producer Madhu Kalipu expresses confidence on the film’s production and says that it has been made on a huge scale and budget without any compromise on the narration. He says Mahendragiri Varahi is a unique devotional action thriller which will surprise the audiences with its grand production value and an entirely new genre.
The film has Goddess Varahi as the central theme and a star-studded cast. As per Madhu, Sumanth has delivered his best performance in his career, Aishwarya has done a dramatic role that looks like a Goddess and Siddhu’s character in the film should also surprise the audience.
The film’s VFX, which is said to be the highlight of the film, has been worked on extensively. There is nearly an hour of VFX in the film which has been done at the Annapurna Studios. The VFX team has created the effects with realistic graphics. The music and background score of the film are also supposed to be a major strength.
The film’s locations have also been shot in extensively. The team has done a lot of work to get permits to shoot in Ramachandrapuram Fort, Muchintal, Gandikota, and other places in Odisha. The team also constructed a massive set for the temple sanctum. The makers plan to release the film in nearly 900 screens globally, while OTT deals were also finalized after the teaser’s launch. Additionally, the producer is also planning to work on another film with Santosh Jagarlapudi in addition to a bilingual horror film with a Hollywood studio.
