Shankar gets a backup
Director Shankar is focusing more on sequels nowadays. After 2.0, he decided to make another sequel, this time for one of his earlier movies Indian. Titled as Indian 2, this sequel has been launched earlier this year in Chennai.

Titled as Indian 2, this sequel has been launched earlier this year in Chennai. Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal have been signed up as the lead actors in it.
Meanwhile, after the few days of shoot, the team had to stop all the works. The first reason for that is Kamal getting busy in his political works for the ongoing elections. The other reason is that the Shankar is being denied to get the budget he quoted, by the producers Lyca Productions.
To save his project, he has apparently approached Reliance Entertainment, who has agreed to help him out. It is still unclear whether Reliance will co-produce the film with Lyca or decides to take over the entire project. We have to wait for a few more days to know that.
