Actor Sumanth is coming with the film ‘Mahendragiri Varahi’, a mythological family drama laced with commercial action, directed by Santosh Jagarlapudi and bankrolled by Kalipu Madhu and Lakshman of Rajashyamala Entertainments and Bridge Films. Starring Aishwarya Rajesh and Siddhu Jonnalagadda in pivotal roles, the movie will hit the screens on September 11.
Speaking to media persons, Sumanth termed it as one of the highest-purchased films in his recent career and reiterated his belief in its box office success, saying that the interval, pre-climax, and climax will be the USP of the film. Meanwhile, he said that his character in the film is an expose’ of superstitions through his YouTube channel.
However, he kept aside the details regarding his character’s past, except for saying that the film has a devotional angle apart from the commercial action and family-oriented track.
“I am confident that Santosh has performed well in terms of Vedas and Puranas. He has surpassed all expectations by executing the script in a larger-than-life scale. We have utilized the VFX, action, and other production values to their maximum to give the audience a grand feel on the big screen,” he added.
Siddhu’s stellar performance and the actor’s role in the film will also be a talking point, as his role requires a serious upper lip. In addition, Sumanth also appreciated Anup Rubens’ music and background score for giving the film a chilling effect to leave the viewers spellbound.
“Moreover, the film has been made in Hindi and Tamil also, so that it can reach out to a larger audience. It is not just a Telugu film,” he concluded.
