‘Sardaar 2’ pre-release event held; Karthi promises next level action
The makers of Sardaar 2 pulled off a star-studded pre-release event for the film’s September 10 worldwide theatrical release. Blockbuster director Boyapati Srinu was the chief guest as Karthi, SJ Suryah, Malavika Mohanan, Aashika Ranganath and more turned up to celebrate the occasion.
PS Mithran’s Sardaar 2, bankrolled by S. Lakshman Kumar’s Prince Pictures, will be out in Telugu by Annapurna Studios. The film’s teaser and trailer have been garnering huge responses.
“Sardaar 2 is a very special film in my career. Mithran’s script is brilliant. The audience can expect a stylish action masala with larger than life music and visuals. They must go and watch the first film again on YouTube before watching Sardaar 2,” says Karthi, adding that SJ Suryah has given his most menacing performance as the villain and Malavika and Aashika are fabulous in their roles.
“This film has no dance sequences. It’s all action,” he adds. SJ Suryah feels the film will have “double impact” of the original Sardaar . “I am confident that the film will be a blockbuster,” says Boyapati Srinu.
Meanwhile, Adivi Sesh, who is a big fan of Sardaar , says he will watch Sardaar 2 on its first day. “Karthi is an inspiring co-star,” says Malavika, while Aashika adds, “It’s my first action film.”
