Prabhas’s Fauzi Release Date Is Postponed

Pan-Indian star Prabhas is currently juggling between three prestigious projects Kalki 2, Fauzi and Spirit. As Hanu Raghavapudi’s Fauzi was earlier scheduled to hit the theatres in December, the makers are now busy in wrapping up the shoot. But for the past couple of days, the speculations regarding the postponement of this movie have been doing rounds on social media due to the delay in the shoot. And now, the makers also confirmed the same during yesterday’s The Paradise pre-release event.

Producer Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers fame doled out, “Fauzi is something else. It may go a little back in time, but it is on a completely different level. After Baahubali, you have not seen Prabhas in such a great film at that level. If I may say, we are pushing the release back a little, but you will cherish this film for your entire life. It is such a great film.”

Well, Fauzi was scheduled to hit the theatres on 3rd December, 2026. But as the release date is officially postponed, the makers are reportedly considering to hit the big screens during the Republic Day, 2027 slot. Being a pre-Independence war drama, it would be a suitable choice for the makers as the patriotic elements in the movie will connect the dots and add that emotion on the big screens.

Fauzi is being helmed by Sita Ramam fame Hanu Raghavapudi and is being bankrolled under the Mythri Movie Makers banner. It has social media sensation Imanvi as the lead actress while Prabhas will be seen as a soldier in this periodic war drama. Going with the plot, it is the story set against the historic backdrop of 1940s British colonial India with references spanning 1932 to 1944. While Prabhas is expected essay the role of a battle-worn soldier who is specifically linked to the Azad Hind Force. One more important sequence that may highlight the presence of Adolf Hitler and Netaji is expected to be the key element of the movie. According to the reports, the film will showcase Bose’s political negotiations aimed at gaining access to these Indian POWs and transforming willing prisoners into soldiers who could fight for India’s independence. The reported five-minute sequence is expected to be one of the film’s major cinematic highlights.
