Bengaluru: Canadian International School (CIS) Bangalore, will host TeachConx, a two-day professional development conference for educators, on October 29 and 30, 2026, at its campus in Yelahanka.
The conference will bring together teachers, school leaders and education professionals to discuss changes in teaching practices and classroom engagement. This year’s theme, “Unlearning,” will focus on examining established teaching methods and considering approaches that respond to changing student needs and learning environments.
Sessions at TeachConx will cover areas including modern assessment practices, digital integration, student agency and inclusive learning. The programme will include keynote sessions and breakout discussions, providing participants with opportunities to examine classroom practices and exchange ideas with educators from different backgrounds.
The conference will also address the changing role of teachers as technology and artificial intelligence become increasingly part of education. Discussions will consider how educators can review existing approaches and adapt teaching methods to support critical thinking, creativity and adaptability among students.
Shefali Jhaveri, Head of Learning at Canadian International School, Bangalore, said the conference would encourage educators to question established assumptions and reflect on practices that may no longer meet the needs of current learners.

The theme of “Unlearning” is intended to encourage educators to reflect on how teaching practices evolve and how classroom approaches can respond to changing educational contexts.
TeachConx is open to teachers, school administrators and education practitioners across disciplines. The conference will be held at the Canadian International School campus in Yelahanka on October 29 and 30.
