New Delhi: Imarticus Learning has introduced Future Skills for Bharat, a portfolio of industry-focused certificate programmes designed to help undergraduate students develop skills relevant to emerging opportunities in technology and finance. The programmes are being offered in association with E&ICT Academy, IIT Kanpur, which is part of the EICTA Consortium under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY).

Enrolments are currently open for AI Engineering & Infrastructure and AI for Finance. EV Technology and FinTech & Digital Finance are scheduled to be introduced subsequently.

The portfolio covers technology-driven sectors such as artificial intelligence, data centres, semiconductors, embedded engineering, robotics, drones, aerospace, space technology, electronics manufacturing, electric mobility and financial technology.

The AI Engineering & Infrastructure programme focuses on the development and deployment of AI systems, covering large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, application programming interfaces (APIs), containers, cloud computing, graphics processing units (GPUs) and responsible AI practices. AI for Finance addresses applications of artificial intelligence in financial analysis, forecasting, credit risk assessment, fraud detection and investment research. The programme is designed for learners without a coding background.

The upcoming EV Technology programme will cover electric-vehicle systems, including battery packs, battery management systems, motors, power electronics, thermal management, charging infrastructure and vehicle software. FinTech & Digital Finance will focus on digital financial systems and their regulatory and economic foundations, including India Stack, UPI, digital lending, WealthTech and RegTech.

Each programme follows a 60-hour, two-month live learning format featuring structured modules, four masterclasses led by IIT/NIT faculty and three guided projects, alongside capstone-level work. Projects are intended to help students demonstrate practical skills through assignments relevant to their chosen fields. Examples include deploying an AI model, developing an AI-assisted financial analysis tool, designing a battery pack for an electric bus or creating a UPI transaction dashboard.

The programmes incorporate Indian industry and regulatory contexts, including domestic electric mobility requirements, UPI, India Stack, and frameworks associated with the Reserve Bank of India and the Securities and Exchange Board of India.

Commenting on the initiative, Imarticus Learning Founder and CEO Nikhil Barshikar said the portfolio aims to help students adapt to changing industry requirements by developing practical capabilities alongside academic knowledge.

Dr. ARKS Srinivas, Joint Academic Coordinator, EICTA–IIT Kanpur, said the programmes would provide students with exposure to the technologies and infrastructure underlying emerging applications of AI.

The portfolio is primarily intended for BTech students across engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, electronics and communication, and computer science. Selected programmes are also relevant to undergraduate students pursuing BCom, BBA and related commerce degrees.

Eligible learners who fulfil programme requirements will receive a completion certificate under E&ICT Academy, IIT Kanpur. The programmes do not confer an IIT degree, diploma or alumni status. Additional programmes across emerging technology sectors are planned for introduction during the year.
