National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers from the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad, presented Telangana’s cultural traditions at the National Integration Camp (NIC) held at Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, Haryana recently.

The EFLU contingent showcased the state’s cultural heritage through performances highlighting Kuchipudi, the floral festival of Bathukamma, the Bonalu celebrations and traditional folk songs. The presentations introduced participants and audiences from across the country to Telangana’s artistic traditions and cultural diversity.

The week-long camp brought together students from different parts of India to encourage cultural exchange and promote national integration. Through performances and participation in camp activities, the EFLU volunteers interacted with fellow students and gained exposure to diverse regional customs and traditions.

The university team also took part in various competitions and activities during the camp, securing several awards and accolades. The achievements brought recognition to the university’s contingent.

EFLU Vice-Chancellor Prof. N. Nagaraju congratulated the volunteers on their participation and accomplishments. He appreciated their efforts in representing the university and Telangana at the national-level event and commended their contribution to the camp’s objective of promoting national integration.

The camp provided an opportunity for the volunteers to engage with students from different backgrounds while participating in activities centred on unity, social responsibility and intercultural understanding.

Their participation also highlighted the role of student-led cultural activities in fostering awareness of India’s regional traditions and encouraging interaction among young people from different parts of the country.
