Students gain industry exposure through AI and analytics
NIIT University has partnered with enterprise AI company Fractal to provide students with practical learning opportunities in artificial intelligence (AI) and analytics through industry-linked projects, technical guidance and internships. The collaboration will establish an AI and Analytics Centre of Excellence, where students will be introduced to areas such as generative AI, agentic AI, scalable AI infrastructure and enterprise applications. They will also gain experience working with real-world industry datasets and explore applications of machine learning, deep learning and responsible AI. As part of the initiative, students will get access to Fractal’s Cogentiq platform, which supports multi-agent AI assistants and enterprise automation. University faculty members and Fractal experts will guide students as they work on projects addressing practical business and technology challenges.
Third-year B.Tech students will have opportunities to undertake capstone projects on topics such as AI workflows, system orchestration, agent interoperability and large language model applications.
These projects are intended to help students apply classroom concepts using industry tools and development practices. Through these activities, students will gain exposure to professional work environments and develop technical and problem-solving skills relevant to careers in AI and analytics.
