Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) allotted 76 returnable plots to farmers of Penumaka village who had given their lands for the construction of the people’s capital, Amaravati, through an e-lottery system at its office in Rayapudi on Thursday.

A total of 26 farmers were allotted 41 residential and 35 commercial plots. The allotments included farmers who had recently surrendered land for capital development, a farmer who had given land for the construction of the Seed Access Road, and eligible farmers who had sought alternative plots after facing issues with their previously allotted plots.

APCRDA Additional Commissioner K Karthik and Penumaka Special Deputy Collector K Sudharani handed over provisional allotment certificates to the farmers who received the plots. Karthik urged the beneficiaries to complete the registration process for their allotted plots at the earliest. He said Geographic Information System (GIS) personnel and village surveyors would assist farmers in identifying the exact locations of their allotted plots.
