AP bags five SKOCH Awards for governance, digital innovation and service delivery

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh secured five national-level honours at 109th SKOCH Awards, with government departments and public institutions being recognised for innovations in governance, transparency, digital outreach, civic services and technology.

Department of Information and Public Relations received Silver SKOCH Award for its Media Accreditation Management System under e-governance category. The award recognised the transparent manner in which the department conducts media accreditation process. Joint Director I Suryachandra Rao and RIE Dr Nagaraja received the award. Digital Corporation Limited won Gold SKOCH Award for its Digital and Social Media Marketing of Amaravati ‘Quantum Valley’ initiative. Digital Corporation Executive Director Rani Susmitha and Special Officer Seshu Kumar received the award.

AP Society for Social Audit, Accountability and Transparency (SSAAT) secured another Gold SKOCH Award in Good Governance category. APSSAAT director G Srikanth received the award. Amalapuram Municipality was also recognised for its performance in urban development and civic service delivery. Municipal Commissioner Nirmal Kumar received the award on behalf of the municipality.

Andhra Pradesh Grameena Bank (APGB) received a Silver SKOCH Award in IT innovation category for implementing ‘APGB Pace Pay’. APGB General Manager Dasari Venkataramana received the award. The consecutive national recognitions have drawn appreciation for the performance of AP government departments and public institutions. Officials said the awards would encourage departments to pursue public welfare and development initiatives with greater transparency, innovation and responsibility.
