Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh is gearing up to host the 31st CII Partnership Summit 2026 in Visakhapatnam on November 12 and 13, with the state government seeking to position the state as a major destination for global investments, international trade and technological partnerships. The two-day summit, themed 'Navigating New World Order: Trade, Technology, Trust', is expected to bring together representatives from around 59 countries and approximately 1,250 delegates.

The participants will include 15 foreign ministers, more than 40 international speakers, 350 foreign delegates and 900 Indian delegates. Around 400 business-to-business (B2B) meetings are being organised to facilitate partnerships among companies, while business-to-government (B2G) sessions will provide opportunities for industry representatives to interact with government officials. Representatives from Singapore, Nepal, Cambodia, Myanmar, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, the Slovak Republic, Mauritius, Mozambique, Egypt, Algeria, Tanzania and Guatemala are expected to participate in these interactions.

The Summit will provide an opportunity to present Andhra Pradesh's investment potential to the world and foster business and technological partnerships with global stakeholders, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said, while reviewing the summit arrangements, proposed discussion topics and draft declarations with senior officials and CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee at his camp office on Saturday.

The Chief Minister directed officials to make the summit a platform connecting policymakers, investors, industries, academic institutions and startups, with discussions translating into concrete business and technological partnerships. He stressed the need to integrate Andhra Pradesh industries with global markets, create new business opportunities for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and expand technical collaborations. Naidu also called for showcasing the state's industrial policies, including the disbursement of incentives through escrow accounts and its emphasis on the 'speed of doing business'.

Investment opportunities in green energy, technology and semiconductors should receive particular attention. He said Andhra Pradesh had a combination of investor-friendly policies, skilled manpower, strong infrastructure, a knowledge-based ecosystem and leadership, adding that global entrepreneurs should be assured of the security and ease of managing investments in the state.

Ambassadors from several countries and representatives of international organisations, including the World Food Programme, Asian Development Bank and United Nations Environment Programme, will also attend the summit.

The discussions will centre on six major sectors: trade, investments and global value chains; trust, geo-economics and global cooperation; agriculture, food security and the bio-based economy; talent, skills and international employment opportunities; technology, innovation and future industries; and clean energy and sustainable growth. The state government expects the summit to strengthen Andhra Pradesh's engagement with international investors, create opportunities for domestic industries to access global markets and establish new partnerships across emerging technology and industrial sectors. Senior officials and CII representatives participated in the review meeting.
