SRM-AP debuts in THE rankings, enters 1001–1200 band

Amaravati: SRM University-AP has made its debut in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2027, securing a place in the 1001–1200 band in its first year of participation.

The university said the recognition makes it the youngest private university in India to achieve the distinction within 10 years of its establishment and the first university in Andhra Pradesh to do so within this period.

SRM-AP performed strongly in International Outlook, scoring 58.5 and ranking fifth in India on the indicator. Its Research Quality score of 55.4 reflected the reach and growing impact of its scholarly output.

Pro-Chancellor Dr P Sathyanarayanan said the ranking affirmed the university’s focus on academic quality, research and global engagement. Vice-Chancellor Prof Ch Satish Kumar said the recognition reflected the culture of inquiry developed by faculty and students.

The university said the ranking would serve as an international benchmark as it expands research, collaborations and global partnerships.
