VIT-AP University holds 6th Convocation
Amaravati: VIT-AP University, Amaravati, conducted its 6th annual Convocation on Saturday, awarding degrees to 3,877 graduands, including 86 Ph D scholars and 31 gold medalists.
AP High Court Judge Justice B Krishna Mohan was the chief guest and Head of Academic Alliances Group at TCS Dr Suceendran KM was the Guest of Honour. Founder and Chancellor Dr G Viswanathan presided, with Vice-President Dr Sankar Viswanathan, AVP Kadhambari S Viswanathan, Vice-Chancellor Dr P Arulmozhivarman and Registrar Dr Jagadish C Mudiganti also present.
Justice Krishna Mohan congratulated the graduates, describing the occasion as a transition of knowledge into society. He stressed that character determines how knowledge is applied and urged integrity, fairness and continuous learning. Dr Suceendran highlighted the need for continuous learning, adaptability and innovation to bridge academic learning with industry needs.
Chancellor Dr Viswanathan encouraged excellence, discipline and social responsibility, specially congratulating Ph D scholars and gold medalists.
Vice-Chancellor Dr Arulmozhivarman noted strong placements, with an average package of Rs 7 LPA and the highest of Rs 96.26 LPA. Dr N Madhusudhan Rao, Dean Academic; Dr Khadeer Pasha, Deputy Director – Student welfare; Deans of various schools; faculty, staff, research scholars and students were also on the occasion.
