Anantapur: A regional review meeting for the General Municipal Elections 2026 was convened in Anantapur under the leadership of CD&MA Dr Sampath Kumar IAS and Additional Director Ravindra Babu.
Municipal commissioners and election officers from Anantapur, Kurnool, Kadapa, and Tirupati districts attended.
Officials reviewed crucial protocols, including Form-3 nominations, deposits, affidavits, scrutiny rules, and symbol allocations.
Highlighting that reservation categories are finalized, the leadership mandated absolute transparency, strict adherence to State Election Commission guidelines, and rigorous enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct to ensure error-free elections across all urban local bodies.
