Guntur: Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications Pemmasani Chandrasekhar said several revolutionary changes were taking place in India and across the world and students were making use of emerging opportunities with awareness and confidence.
He addressed the ‘Assurance for the Future of Youth’ programme organised at RVR&JC Engineering College at Chodavaram in Prathipadu constituency on Friday. He said advanced courses such as AI and robotics were bringing revolutionary changes, but students needed to understand the challenges and misconceptions associated with them. In the past, an engineering degree was often sufficient to secure a job, but in the coming years, a degree alone would not be enough, he said.
He said that students could now access numerous videos and learning resources on YouTube to understand various courses and skills. “If you work today with the same dedication with which you would work after joining a job, a job will certainly be available to you when you actually need one,” he said. MLA B Ramanjaneyulu, RVR&JC Engineering college chairman Dr Rayapati Srinivas were among those who participated.
