Guntur: In the last minute change of candidature, the TDP has decided to field Koveludi Lakshmi Aparna for the Guntur mayoral post to contest in the ensuing Guntur Municipal Corporation elections.
She is wife of former mayor Kovelamudi Ravindra (Nani).
It may be recalled that earlier Rayapati Sailaja was selected as the candidate for the mayor post.
She will file her nomination before 3 p.m. on Sunday.
The TDP leaders are making arrangements to set up her election campaign offices and to start her election campaign.
