Guntur: A 53-year-old man was burnt alive when flames suddenly erupted from a car at IPD Colony under Lalapet Police Station limits here on Tuesday. His son, who tried to rescue him, sustained injuries.
According to the police, Tadikonda Hari Krishna along with his son Akhilesh went to the hospital for dialysis.
When there was no doctor, they were returning home.
When Akhilesh switched on the air conditioner in the car, sudden flames erupted inside the car near his house at IPD Colony. Akhilesh came out immediately.
Hari Krishna was burnt alive. Akhilesh tried his best, but he could not save his father.
He sustained burn injuries. He was shifted to the GGH for treatment. Lalapet police registered the case and took up investigation.
