Guntur: Narasaraopet MP Lavu Sri Krishnadevarayalu on Sunday inaugurated the Lalitha Brain Stimulation Centre at Lalitha PVS Institute of Medical Sciences in Guntur, introducing Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) therapy as part of the institute’s comprehensive stroke rehabilitation services.
The launch marks a significant milestone in the institute’s efforts to provide advanced, evidence-based and technology-enabled neurological care, with a particular focus on improving recovery and quality of life for patients affected by stroke and other neurological disorders.
Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation is an advanced, non-invasive neuromodulation technique that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate specific areas of the brain. The therapy is designed to support the restoration of brain function and enhance recovery in stroke patients.
World Stroke Organisation president Dr Jeyaraj D Pandian, Lalitha PVS Institute of Medical Sciences chairman Dr P V Raghava Sarma and Dr P Vijaya others were present.
