Cyberabad Traffic police urges firms to stagger early log-offs amid rain alert
Cyberabad Traffic Police have gone on high alert after the weather department warned of possible heavy rainfall. They have advised IT companies and other organisations to take steps to prevent travel difficulties for employees and motorists.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, police asked firms to introduce a phased early log-off policy through to Thursday. Employees should be allowed to leave in stages from 2pm, with the process ideally completed by 4pm.
Moderate to heavy rain is expected from afternoon into the evening, raising the risk of severe congestion, police said. They warned that traffic conditions could worsen significantly if thousands of employees left their offices at the same time.
