Fake work visa racket busted at RGIA
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police registered cases against four travel agents for allegedly duping a passenger on the pretext of providing a work visa by collecting an amount.
According to police, one Sangani Ganga, Andhra Pradesh, lodged a complaint at RGI Airport police stating that she worked in Muscat for a few years and she returned to India. Recently, she approached travel agents in Hyderabad -- Sharif Ahmed and others seeking a work visa, PoE (Protector of Emigrants) certificate, and medical tests to go to Dubai.
The accused collected money and asked the complainant to RGIA airport to board a flight a few days ago. When she arrived at the airport, the accused gave fake and forged documents.
The complainant approached the Immigration officers at RGIA to get details of the authenticity of documents. With the Immigration officials informing her that these were fake documents, the complainant approached the police and lodged a complaint. Police registered cases against found persons.
Similarly, Immigration officials lodged a complaint with police stating that one passenger Shahjaihan Begum arrived from Muscat by Flight No. WY235 and was intercepted at the arrival immigration after she produced a passport with missing pages (9, 10, 11, 12).
The passenger was handed over to RGI Airport police for taking further legal action against her. The documents produced by her were found to be suspicious and appeared to be forged.
